The distance. Ten miles to work is perfect for me.
Wide shoulders
A forest trail that is great for escaping the road for a bit.
The many animals I see, both wild and domestic.
This pond is beautiful andย constantly changing with the seasons.
The wind sock which gives me a visual of what the wind is actually up to.
The giant white dog that chases me.
Biking down this hill.
Fence Fail Farm. This place is a constant source of entertainment.
The port-a-potty business that decorates with seasonal characters.
Haha- the grinch is my FAV!!! ๐ awesome post!

Thanks! He made me laugh this morning, the last time I biked past there was a pilgrim in there…these folks are serious about their potties!

Haha, I used to be afraid of him-he started chasing me right after I was bitten by another dog-but he is just a softie with a loud mouth!

Nice post. I’m surprised there isn’t a pic with snow ๐

There was going to be one actually but I swapped it out…the poor snow doesn’t get any representation!

Wot, no snow? Or is that the dogs name?

Nope, we have no snow whatsoever…I think the dog’s name may be Bear, but don’t quote me on that.

I’m chuckling at the name of the farm. Hehehe.

It isn’t the real name, but there is truly no other name that suits that farm-the animals are constantly escaping out of their pens ๐

I love those roads in central upstate. Huge paved shoulders. Woot!

It took me a while to realize how good I have it here ๐ I guess paved shoulders don’t exist everywhere, huh?

In Virginia they are extremely rare.

Your commute looks fun… complete with “Neverending Story” dog, and that hill… is it as fun to ride up!?

Riding up the hill is admittedly not as fun as flying down, but I have climbed it so many times I don’t really think about it anymore…and it is a great hill to get myself warmed up on the cold winter mornings ๐

I don’t think the giant white dog will ever admit it, but we are definitely friends ๐
