I realize those are fighting words at this stage of winter. But I have to be honest here, I love winter and I am not ready for it to be over. Bring on the snow and the cold.
Why is it considered normal human behavior to nag the weather gods for warmer weather and an early spring? Winter has its challenges but to me it is the most magical season. I have no idea how much longer winter will stick around so I am off to trample through the snow with my puppies and maybe make a few snow angels along the way.
Winter is one of the reasons we choose to live in New England. We tend to like all four seasons.

Agreed, I think it would be hard for me to live somewhere that doesn’t have the well-defined four seasons.

I’ll be willing to stand in line to slap some sense into you!! Actually, I love the beauty of it, but not the temperatures. I’ve been that way since jr high years.

But loving winter (and the cold) is sensible! So even if you do succeed in getting some sense into my head (not likely) it will just confirm what I already believe, namely that winter rocks!

Well, I figure anyone who “liked” this post obviously did so because they agree with its “Let It Snow” motto, so if I am crazy, you are in the same boat 🙂

You never cease to amaze.
You certainly have the right attitude in life. But, like Dan, I will also stand in line. I live in Vancouver on the West Coast. I have mountains and snow a short drive away. When I first moved here (from the east) I expected to spend a lot of time playing in the snow. The reverse happened. I seldom go to the snow. I love the mountains during the summer, fall and spring months but stay at sea level in the wet during the winter.
What I admire most is that you continue to cycle and enjoy it during the coldest of conditions.

That’s so cool that you can drive to snow if you want to. Here we either have snow or we don’t.
Gotta admit though, I feel like you guys are ganging up on me just because I like the cold and snow. Don’t you realize that I am actually saving the world by wishing for more snow and freezing temps? I am doing my part to halt global warming and the melting of the polar icecaps. (Because obviously my wishes carry great weight in the decisions of the weather gods.)

LOL. You might be right. We all need to be part of the solution. Like you I cycle mostly. That’s good for the environment. Right? Here in Vancouver we use less fossil fuels clearing snow and heating our homes. Maybe global warming is a solution in disguise.

I am with you. I love the snow. I have not been brave enough to ride my bicycle in it, but maybe you will inspire me to move closer to that goal. I was with a few of my guy friends just last night and we were talking about riding in the snow. I think I might be ready with the next snow fall which is supposed to be this weekend. You go girl. Ignore all the poo pooers.

Biking in the snow is much easier and way more fun then I thought it would be. Go for it! 😉
