I bought a camera!

Yesterday I went shopping with the gifts cards I received for Christmas. I decided it was high time for me to own a camera. Currently, my photography skills are abysmal but hopefully that will change with time and practice.

I snapped a few pictures while I was on the way up to visit my little nephews and nieces.

    • I am a rather frugal person by nature, so this was I big deal for me. I have wanted one for a while, but I always pushed it aside because I didn’t “need” one. I am really happy I finally decided to get one.

    • As soon as I started taking pictures yesterday, I felt like “wow I should have bought this a while ago”.

There is so much in my life that I want to be able to look back on years from now: my first year of winter biking, all my adorable little friends as they grow up, pictures of my dogs doing silly stuff. And now I will be able to!

  1. Those are some good shots. I have 2 friends who are professional photographers and I always hound them for tips. The three tips they always say are divide your viewfinder/screen in thirds ie put the focus in a third of your screen like you did with the piece of farm equipment, change the angle/perspective of your shot, and your feet are the best zoom.
